THE BAND:
The Pyronauts are from Auburn, CA and have been together for over 10 years. They have opened for Dick Dale 12 times and continue to annihilate audiences with their rockin' surf tunes everywhere! Other highlights include 14 days at the 2005 California State Fair Beach Party, 1st place in a battle of the bands promoting the movie School of Rock, as well as over 470 other shows! The Pyronauts oftern perform in San Francisco, Sacramento, Reno, and Southern California.
THE SOUND:
The Pyronauts' music is invigorating and fun. Listen to it while working out to help you get pumped up, while driving to cruise in style, at a party to get the ladies dancing, or when you're feeling down to get a laugh! Surf music is a kick in the pants, and The Pyronauts won't disapoint. Music, in general, has a healing quality, but The Pyronauts brand of surf music takes you to a tropical beach with your toes in the sand and a Mai Tai in your hand! The playful sounds evoke images of surfer girls, warm island sun, and a calm breeze!
HISTORY:
Surf and Destroy is the sixth release from The Pyronauts. Surf or Die, A Surfin't Christmas, Surf Motel, Meet The Pyronauts, and Live from the Pit are all previous albums that are extremely hard to find. Surf and Destroy, however, represents the goups finest work. It was recorded on an analog 2" 24 track tape recorder to achieve a warmer more natural sound. This release also marks the bands first all original release.
